Most people spend 5 days a week by doing physically or intellectually demanding work; these people long for weekends and holidays. Some turn to dancing in a pub or join in weekend parties where they get even more stressed out. Some others take an expensive trip to the Caribbean or the South Pacific.
There are some who go camping in a rain forest, a snow clad mountain peak, or a sandy beach. Most often they choose a place that can be reached by economic means of transport (car, 4 wheel drive, rail or hike). Once these people undergo their first camping experience they get positively addicted to it. For many people, camping is a thoroughly joyful activity that makes their life complete. The joy that one derives in a camping activity depends much upon the camping equipment.
Effective camping equipment should help the campers in their accommodation, food and healthcare. Any camping essentially needs sufficient stock of pure drinking water, flash lights, family camping tent, truck tent, chairs, tables and cots, sleeping bags, air mattresses, heaters and coolers, camp cookware sets, cooking stoves, insect repellant, over the counter medicines, water purifier tablets (if the stored water runs out) and mobile phone.
Campers need to carry specifically destination-oriented equipment with them, in addition to the above mentioned items. For instance, if a bird watcher is camping to a bird sanctuary, he may need a camera, a pair of binoculars and tape recorder. If someone is camping to a mountain peak, she may need a complete trekking gear. Perhaps she may also carry a few scientific instruments such as altimeter, GPS and shortwave radio. If the campsite is a sandy beach, the equipment may include fishing gear, inflatable boats, turf, umbrellas, toys for children to play on sand, beach game equipment etc.
Apart from the above said materials, camps can include items that are of interest to individual members of the family. For instance, the father may be a good singer, mother a water color painter, and children who are interested in skiing, reading or composing poems. This family may carry a portable music system, watercolor and brushes, books and a laptop.
Thus, camping can be a wonderful team activity that not only makes everybody happy but also respects each person's skills and abilities. It all depends upon the relevant camping equipment.
