Known as the World No.1, the Swiss player, Roger Federer obtained his fifth Wimbledon title in a row, in a game considered one of the best matches in history.

Despite the unpredicted weather conditions and the built-up tension from previous days during the competition, the final was as well an unknown fact where Nadal and Federer were going to dispute the title.

The 2007 edition will be remembered as the amazing finale, where Nadal pushed Federer to play a fifth set, fact the Swiss had not before done to achieve his victories in a Grand Slam. Undoubtedly, the Spaniard player gave Federer a very hard time and a strong battle, but even with this, Federer finished dazzling for the 5th year in a row, record owned by Bjorn Borg and now reached by the Swiss.

This final has become one of the most important ones, due to the fact, the players were determined to win and both of them represent the power of this tennis generation, a game like that is a true source of joy and excitement to the fans.

Federer himself recognized that Nadal gave a first-class performance and he deserved also to win. He almost did it, and with pride he admitted he is a good loser and promises next year he will do it better. Nadal certainly showed an incredible improvement on the grass court, a known weak point of his. He did not win this time but he will, we all are sure of that.

After being so close to the victory, Nadal is a little disappointed for the defeat but satisfied with the course of the tournament; he will go back to Mallorca where he will rest and recover from his knee damage.
