Tours of Original London Markets

Noone really can say they really know London without having made a visit to any of its famous street markets. These gentle relics of an once everyday way of life are in great peril of disappearing and/or being supplanted by the supermarkets. Their survival is something which we should cherish and support.

Sandra Shevey leads regular guided walks around the London markets daily at 11am for 1.5 hours recreating a sense of these old places in times past by using old photos, prints and memoirs.

Chats with the traders and excursions into some of the old shops are interspersed with forays to view antique remains of the markets themselves.
