To decide on just a few candles is like choosing between eating chocolate and having lots of chocolate to eat… With so many scents to choose from, it's next to impossible to choose just one. This is part one of several articles to follow on choosing candle and fragrance scents for your home.

Here are some suggestions for scents that "fit" the months of July and August.

Americana Containers:
Many candles companies offer American flag design containers and votive holders. The Americana Tealight holders are a perfect way to add a little red, white and blue sparkle to your summer parties.

Apple Pie Scent:
This candle scent is quite popular, and for good reason. It's absolutely yummy, and smells good enough to eat! Nothing says American quite like Apple Pie.

Lemon Drops:
Another very "American-like" scent, it smells just like a cold pitcher of lemonade.

Coconut Lime:
A tangy combination of smooth and spicy. Just right for mentally relaxing on the beach!

Tropical Escape:
Another mental diversion conjuring up fluffy clouds over a deserted island and palms flowing in the breeze. One of my favorite summer flavors!

Fresh Linen Scent:
Looking for something a little more clean smelling? Try this summer favorite. Smells like the wash coming in from the line.

Blue Hydrangea:
If you prefer floral scents, here's a nice one for summer. This unique scent is a romantic aroma of vanilla, with base tones of fresh cut hydrangeas.

Sandcastles:
Another unique summer scent. This aroma brings fresh summer breezes to mind with the hint of "just off the beach" contentment. It is one of my favorite scents.

Floral Medley:
Still looking for something a bit more floral? Try this simple favorite.
