4 Boroughs/10 Neighbourhoods/12 Locations/3 Memorable Hitchcock Films

Historian Sandra Shevey has been researching about director Alfred Hitchcock`s location set design since 1999, having interviewed the director in Hollywood in 1972. She devised the locations walk as an exercise in evaluating to what extent the director manipulated design and has been giving the London walk since his London home was awarded English Heritage status.

The walk, which goes every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 11am and lasts for 3 hours, profiles 3 of the director`s most memorable films: `Frenzy`, `The Man Who Knew Too Much` (1956) and `The Paradine Case`.

Original set designs are used to assist in comparisons between real and reinvented locations.

She has lectured at Cambridge University (UK) and also offers independent seminars drawing upon her own exclusive Alfred Hitchcock interview. She hopes to do a book about Hitchcock, Cityscape and Set Design and is looking for a publisher. She regularly gives guided walks around Hitchcock London locations.
