Virginia Beach Hotels
by Jason Gluckman
Virginia Beach, the largest city in the state, has a strong Navy influence due to the fleet at the Hampton Roads Harbor. Being one of the major resorts on the Virginia coast, it attracts tourists in large numbers. Virginia Beach hotels have received rave reviews from travelers as well as travel websites.
The Fairfield Inn and Suites Virginia Beach Oceanfront has received high traveler ratings from tripadvisor.com. The hotel has 110 rooms let out at an average price of $132 dollars per day. This has come first in tripadvisor.com ranking of 96 hotels in the Virginia Beach area. The hotel has 24 luxury suites and provides high speed Internet access to all rooms, apart from balconies facing the ocean, and small refrigerators. Other amenities in the hotel include an indoor pool and fitness center.
Clarion Hotel Resorts at Virginia Beach is the ideal haven for beach freaks. The hotel has everything one could want on a seaside holiday, including a rooftop pool, bar and tennis courts, exercise machines and sauna and private balconies for all rooms. You can also opt for rooms with attached kitchens and choose to participate in indoor activities like a dip in the indoor pool.
If you are looking for lodgings right on the oceanfront, you can probably stay at the Holiday Inn Surfside. You can enjoy the sea and yet be near the major tourist attractions in the area, like Busch Gardens in Williamsburg and Kings Dominion near Richmond. Main amenities of individual rooms include private balconies, small refrigerators, cable TV and high speed Internet access. The hotel has 141 guest rooms on its 10 floors apart from 18 suites, 116 non-smoking rooms, 37 single occupancies and 106 double occupancies. Personal services provided by hotel to its guests include laundry and dry cleaning, valet parking, room service and safety deposit boxes.
