In today's hectic environment, families time and again share meals over pizza boxes and takeout. Pampered Chef is altering this phenomenon, bringing back family meals and giving people more time to spend with those they love.
Background
The Pampered Chef provides recipes and kitchen products for preparing delicious meals that can bring back the old tradition, families eating together at a dinner table. Pampered Chef has been serving families for nearly 30 years, founded in 1980 by Doris Christopher. Though not a chef herself, she was a working mother who recognized a necessity for excellent working kitchen tools at a reasonable price. With her teaching background, she began in-home cooking demonstrations to showcase what is now the Pampered Chef product line.
Products
The Pampered Chef products include professional-quality kitchen tools such as:
Kitchenware - Such as peelers and measuring tools
Pampered Chef Cookware - Including stainless sauce pans and skillets, as well as rice cookers and serving ware
Bakeware - For delicious cakes, cookies, and pastries!
Stoneware - High quality baking tools
Bamboo - Including bowls, tongs, and cooking sets, etc.
Cutting Edge - The high-class professional-quality cutting ware that no kitchen should be without
Miscellaneous - Other products include outdoor serving sets and BBQ tools, and items great for entertaining guests such as serving platters, napkin rings, table placements, etc.
Distribution
The Pampered Chef product line includes tools for preparation and serving family and guests. The distribution method chosen by the company is individual direct sales. Pampered Chef consultants do in-home cooking demonstrations also known as "Cooking Shows." Pampered Chef claims that over 1 million Cooking Shows are held yearly, and over 12 million customers have been served with their high-quality products.
Structure
Pampered Chef has corporate headquarters located in Addison, Illinois, with 750 corporate employees. Their distribution sales force is comprised of about 60,000 independent Pampered Chef consultants around the world.
The Pampered Chef Consultants have eight levels to achieve their goals, going from direct sales to National Executive Directors. Pampered Chef makes it uncomplicated to become an independent distributor with no required inventory to keep around your house. To support the independent distributors, the company has training such as web courses, tele-classes and local sales meetings with advanced sales reps and national events.
All Pampered Chef Consultants are given marketing tools including brochures, catalogs, and a personalized website. The Consultant is required to pay for their own demonstration kit but for a reduced price of $155 rather than the $570 value but they are not required to own inventory.
Independent consultants can work the hours they want, part-time or full-time. There isn't a quota from the company. You can decide your own goals. Income is paid by a sliding scale commission based on amount sold per show. 20% is minimum commission, with 25% commission for sales of greater than $4,000 in a single show. Average earnings are approximately $1,300 per month for performing just one show a week. As with any mlm, building your own team of distributors improves your income but you can also qualify for jewelry, free vacations and other products.
Pampered Chef Consultants don't only earn money and a great living, but they can also earn vacations and free products. With the variety of help and training available, and one-on-one time with other local consultants and directors, you have all the tools at your hands to start a terrific part-time or full-time career.
