Many families seek to find ways to remember special grandparents after they have passed away Many families seek to find ways to remember special grandparents after they have passed away. It helps them work through their grief and it solidifies memories before they fade away for the grandchildren. One way to do this is to create or compile a remembrance book. Of course this is not a new idea, but the variations and precious memories it holds can vary tremendously. One way of doing this is to compile stories that the family members each have of something that happened with the beloved grandparent. They don't have to be long - a paragraph or a short page works just fine. You can also blend in stories of the grandparent's spouse if he/she is still living. You can also collect pictures that everyone has and insert them along with the stories or on pages in between. You will be pleasantly surprised to find out that many of the stories you had never heard before and they will stir pleasant and fond memories inside your heart. Type the stories up on the computer or copy them with the writer's exact handwriting - whichever way you prefer. Insert them into pocket protectors and place in a nice folder or binder. Make sure to give each family member a copy. You can conclude the memory book with the funeral bulletin, eulogy or pictures of the gravesite if you wish. Make this a special, special book intended to spark memories and joy of times spent with someone you love.
