Also what's great with buying a cheap cape is that you won't feel guilty if you want to do a little customization on it. Plus a simple black cape can virtually go with a variety of costumes, whether you are a vampire or a witch, a black cloak can definitely complete the costume.
However if you're handy with the sewing machine and are feel a little crafty, you can make your very own cape. Capes are generally an easy garment to construct and it's a perfect project for those just learning to sew. You can go to your local fabric store and browse through the fabrics. It's likely that the fabrics in the store are a better quality than any cape that's lying around at any costume shop. Plus by making your own cape, you can be creative and completely customize to you liking.
