A quality day spa should have certain minimum requirements. It must be a quiet, peaceful place with professionally trained massage therapists and estheticians. A quality day spa should have a full menu of massages, facials, and body treatments, and must have private treatment rooms with fresh linens. A relaxation room with tea, secure lockers, steam room, and sauna are among the other facilities expected in a good day spa.

Day spas may differ in their fees depending on the facilities provided. Some of them offer spa packages which include more than one service, such as a combination of massage and facial. Very often, the prices advertised do not include taxes and other hidden expenses, so, before making an advance booking it is advisable to thoroughly check the prices. While choosing a day spa, one should consider certain other factors also. It is a good idea to consult friends or relatives who have already been to the spa. Also, make sure that the day spa is licensed by the state and therapists are fully qualified.
