Most seat covers are washable; but dealers and manufacturers advise gentle cycle, inside-out washing, and hanging dry. They are easily installable with hooks or buttons or elastic straps that secure them in place.

Seat covers materials are made of range from nylon and leather to even sheepskin and tiger skin. Depending on the fabric, maintenance and costs vary from dealer to dealer, but most have easy-to-install instruction guides attached to their products. Automobile owners just have to buy the covers and put them on to suit their tastes.
