If this is done then special food containers must be used that are designed to keep food safe from elements and preserve their taste. Make sure you choose a climate controlled mini storage unit for food items since this will help provide additional protection from rodents and deterioration.

Many people use mini storage as a place to keep seasonal items. If you are storing costumes then you must properly protect them using moth balls and other pest deterrents. You do not want to get your favorite costume out of storage and discover that it has become a nest to thousands of bugs and even rodents. You should never have to cram items into your mini storage unit. All items should be able to fit with plenty of storage space around all items. If you are not able to do this then you might want to consider upgrading to a larger storage size.
