Every year, as I was growing up, the inevitable school picture would get taken. It was always such a chore to get dressed in a nice suit and comb your hair and then to keep it all together until the picture was finally taken. The photo was always scheduled a few days after a fight or bicycle mishap that would leave a nice black-eye. Those photos were destined for the dining room wall to stare down at us as we ate our meals together. Next to my own school picture was that of my younger sister. In addition to these was the family group-photo. Each year the new one would get put on top of the old one. Each year the latest fashion and the most recent hair style were prominently displayed. As the years go by, a person begins to appreciate those photos. So you take the frame off the wall, bend the little metal tabs back out of the way so you can pull the cardboard backer out, and begin to leaf through the past.
Now that I'm a father I've begun the cycle all over again. Putting my two daughters through the same torture of getting dressed up and making sure their hair is perfect long enough to get through a couple of minutes of posing for that perfect moment to capture for all time.
These days I don't have to go through the arduous task of getting the pictures out of the frame. I stand holding my two year old in my arms in front of the digital picture frame as the slide show presents countless moments in our lives. She tries to say everyone's names when she sees them appear on the screen. Behind me I can hear the sound of my wife snapping a photo of my daughter and I, which will no doubt, soon be on the wall of timeless memories.

My name is Justin Mann and I am a new e-commerce entrepenuer. I am trying my hand at writing because it has always been something I have been interested in doing. I just started my first website digitalpictureframes13.com so that I can hopefully make enough money at an online business and be able to spend more time at home with my wife and two beautiful little girls and less time at work. I hope you enjoy the article and I would love any constructive critiqes on how to improve my writing.
