Balancing your changing roles Are you trying to be three people?
If you are like a lot of people online these days, you might be leading a triple life.
1.) First, there is your "regular" day job, where you perform your "normal" duties and responsibilities. Perhaps this is in Corporate America or maybe you are in some sort of service business.
2.) After work, you switch your focus over to your attempts to become an online entrepreneur, in hopes of securing future time and financial freedom.
3.) Don't forget that you are also either a Wife, Husband, Mom or Dad, which we all know is another job all by itself.
I call this leading a triple life.
Now I don't know about you, but this can sometimes get a little "hairy".
How many times are you acting in one role, but actually thinking about another? It is hard to focus with all of this going on huh.
I can relate!
So here is my take on this triple life thing.
A wise person once said to me "All things are temporary". This statement has stuck with me for years, because it is so true.
I can promise you that you will not be leading a triple life forever. First of all, if you are accomplishing all of these, then you are the type of motivated individual that will not settle for doing this very long.
While satisfying that you appear to be superwoman or superman, you will probably run yourself into the ground eventually.
Not to mention how your family will feel about constantly competing for your attention. Even if you try to explain why you are doing all of this, they might not understand your ultimate purpose, while gazing at the back of your head as you speed along on the computer, or run around the house and out the door.
Each baby step will get you closer to your ultimate goal or dream.
Each new day that you use wisely, to make things better for you and your family, really does count. It counts for a lot.
So, while you are going about your day, changing from role to role, I suggest you enjoy the journey.
All things are temporary.
