Subtle Yet Powerful Marketing

marketing does not have to be incredibly direct for it to do its job
A week later you go back into the same place, the poster is still there, you glance at it again. Over and over again this happens, the poster always there, and your eye being drawn to it. Each time you look at the poster you still are not really thinking about buying books, because you are not in the mood, but you are aware of its presence.
Now, a few weeks later you find out you have a trip coming up and you figure you will want some reading material for it. You think books, and the first thing that pops into your head is the bookstore you've been seeing the poster for. After all, you have seen it so many times it is easy to remember the name of the store.
You go in, you make your purchase, and the next time you need a book, you do the same.
This right here is the impact of poster printing. A key part of marketing is simply having your business considered when someone needs the services you offer. In the above example, if someone does not regularly buy books, they are not likely to have one store they prefer, and so they will be open for suggestion when the time comes. A poster plants the seed in their mind for later use. They have seen your name so many times you are the first person they consider.
And few other forms of advertising can have the same impact in this regard as poster printing can. A postcard gets looked at once and thrown away. Often people do not even look at the name of the company on the postcard. Brochures take an investment of time to read, and people who do not have interest when they first get the brochure are not likely to read through it.
All a poster takes is a few glances to get the company name locked into a person's mind. If you have a vibrant enough or interesting poster people are going to look over at it, and those repeated glances will be enough to gets your company name going through their mind over and over again.
Marketing does not have to be incredibly direct for it to do its job. Not all advertising is about getting a person to immediately act and come in right away. Sometimes what works best is to simply let them know you are there waiting for them for when the time comes.
Keeping a constant stream of posters up and on the walls to be repeatedly seen is one of the best ways to accomplish this. They might not give you a sale the first time they see your poster, but that does not mean the poster has not done its job.
