Since, it is the oldest version of engineering after military engineering so it has a special essence of engineering which an engineer can not get in other domains like computer engineering, mechanical engineering and so on. We can say that the legacy of engineering can be experienced in civil engineering. Probably, it is the impact of legacy so that still we hardly find thin line between architecture and a civil engineer.
