'Will You Be Your Valentine?'

As January has come to a close, thoughts turn to 'the month of hearts' - February. February is 'Healthy Heart' month, and of course Valentines Day. For some this may be a time when winter blahs turn into heart felt ahhhs. Yet for others it may have thoughts of past hurts, of being alone and lost loves.
But it doesn't have to be all doom and gloom. Oh I know it can be difficult - easier said than done, I've been there myself. I'd like to pass on a few ideas, to help make this time a little more special for you, that I've learned along life's path.
Send flowers to yourself ! Wouldn't it be great to receive a bouquet of flowers at home or at your workplace? Flowers are a wonderful way to 'remind' yourself that 'you love you'.
No date? Dress up in your best a take yourself our for dinner. If you can't go out for dinner, put the flowers that you sent to yourself in your best vase, cook yourself
your favourite meal and have it by candlelight.
Give yourself a hug - ever tried that? Just wrap your arms around yourself and give a warm, caring hug. For those that are missing someone, by doing this you are
hugging your heart and special people always have a
place in our hearts.
Go to the spa ... in your own home. Have a long, scented bath with candles. Be sure to have some warm towels - just put them in the dryer for a bit.
Put on some of your favourite comfort music, light some candles and curl up on the couch. Enjoy a good book -
or just enjoy the music and being with YOU.
There are many wonderful things that you can do for yourself. These are just a few that will hopefully get the wheel turning. Take time to be kind to yourself.
Show yourself how much you love YOU!
