A traffic explosion to your website requires that you have a well-coordinated campaign using the best Internet marketing tools currently available, or some product totally out of the ordinary like the final Harry Potter movie.
Since Harry Potter's already been taken, you'd better settle for a campaign that's going to do the job for you. One of the things that you must decide is how much you are going to do yourself, and how much you'll need to outsource to a competent Internet marketing company.
What can you do yourself? The obvious answer is those areas where you or members of your company have the greatest expertise and are therefore best qualified. I refer of course to blogs and articles.
The great thing about blogs and articles is that they don't require much technical skill, thought it's useful to have some ability with html. More valuable to your potential customer, however, is your ability to get your voice across in the article. People like the way our particular voice comes across. Now this isn't to say that you can't have or shouldn't use professionals to create articles for you, especially when time is an issue. It's simply that your voice is unique and recognizable. Your audience knows by the way you communicate, that only you could have written this blog. They like that familiarity and the expertise that goes with it.
The only Internet drawback is whether in doing blogs and articles, you're aware of the importance of keywords and their positioning for easy finding by search engines. And are you going to be responsible for sending articles to article directories so that they get mass distribution?
The other area that you may want to concern yourself with is your website. Are you going to be responsible for the copy so that the content on your site is clearly described and in a compelling manner - and that your landing page and ability to capture visitors' emails to build your list is automatic?
Most businesses don't want to do much more than that. They want to hand off the technical stuff: Submitting your website to the directories; submitting articles to article directories; developing ad programs like Google Ads; getting friends and groups on Social Media like Facebook and LinkedIn.
