Press Releases
Many companies choose to use flyers in their marketing campaign because of the wide range of utility and also the low-cost. You can create one design for flyer printing and use it in several different ways, like a brochure or postcard, yet a flyer does not need the expensive paper or coatings that other marketing pieces do. Here are a few ideas for marketing with flyers:
The Poster
Hang your flyers on poster boards, in windows of businesses, or on the sides of a building. Just make sure when designing your flier to make the headline font a large size so that it can be read at a distance. Also, use color so that it easily captures attention.
Direct Mail
Fold your flyers and secure them with a sticky tab. Then simply address them and mail to a specified list. To save time, you might want your printing company to do this for you.
Door-to-Door
Flyers are great when campaigning in a neighborhood. Even when you do not close the sale, you can leave a flier that may convince the client to contact you later. If the owner is not at home, you can still leave a rolled up flyer in the door handle.
The Hand Out
Take your flyer to place on your table in trade shows or other marketing events. Flyers are less bulky than other marketing materials and easy to transport. Plus, you can carry a stack with you as you walk around the event to hand out to other vendors.
Although using a flier for every one of these uses can save you money, you need to be careful to not waste your marketing dollars with a vague design. Keep in mind these purposes when creating your flyer so that you can tailor your message to fit the audience.
