We live busy and demanding lives and oftentimes we never stop to enjoy life and the people in our lives. Over time we can come to feel tired and rundown. You should treat yourself good because you deserve it. I have listed some easy steps to help you revive and recharge. Your Spa Day will center around creating the right atmosphere and mood for relaxation. Pampering yourself does not have to be expensive. Follow these easy steps to revive and recharge. And you’ll feel better in no time.
PREPARATION: PHASE I
1. Designate one day per week as your “Spa Day”
2. Arrange for a babysitter if needed.
3. Inform friends and relatives that you’re taking a “Spa Day” and please DO NOT DISTURB.
4. Turn your phones off. Remember this is your day.
5. Clean and declutter your bedroom.
6. Put fresh linen on your bed lightly sprayed with your favorite perfume.
7. Purchase fresh flowers and arrange in a pretty vase for your room.
8. Position an array of candles in different shapes and sizes. Designate one scented candle for that fresh aroma . (remember a lighter or matches to light candles)
9. Set relaxation tapes or soothing music on pause until ready for use.
10. Cut fresh fruit and refrigerate for later. You may want to add a small cheese and cracker tray.
11. Refrigerate a cold beverage or juice.
When you have created your relaxed atmosphere move on to phase two of your “Spa Day” .
IMPLEMENTATION: PHASE II
1. Run your bath water include bath salts, bubbles etc., according to your preference.
2. Make sure your phones are off.
3. Turn your relaxation tape/soothing music on low.
4. Set room temperature according to preference.
5. Light your candles.
6. Enjoy your bath soak.
7. When you are done enjoying your bath soak now it’s time to sit back and soak up the quiet atmosphere you’ve created while lounging on your fresh perfumed sheets. As you enjoy your fresh fruit, chilled beverage and relaxation tape/soothing music look around and see how beautiful your room and fresh flowers look and smell.
8. You can opt to just simply sleep the night through, read a good book, or watch your favorite TV show etc.
Try to and remember that you are important so make time for yourself. I have listed some feel good tips that you can do for yourself on a regular basis. You are the only “you” that you have so don’t put off doing good things for yourself.
