Life isn't fair doesn't necessarily mean you are being mistreated.

Life isn't fair. It never has been.

I had a 9 p.m. curfew all the way through high school. For my brother, it was midnight. By the time my sisters were in high school, I think Ma had given up on a curfew all together. If not, the curfew must have been, "Be home in a week."

Life isn't fair. It never has been.

Last year around this time, I became pregnant with twins. I didn't ask for twins. I didn't plan on twins. God blessed me with two little lives, two precious babies who smile when I talk to them. Life isn't fair. It never has been.

For every instance life is unfair to my chagrin, I can name an instance when life is unfair to my advantage.

Maybe life is fair.
