Time Management
Okay ladies, today we are going to take a hard look at our short-term and long-term to-do lists. To-Do lists can be quite interesting and revealing. Many of us feel guilt when we don't accomplish those items we have labeled as "to-dos." But before feeling guilt, perhaps it is time to look at your to-do list in a new light.
When we have items that remain incomplete on our list, that doesn't necessarily mean we suffer from procrastination. Sometimes the undone tasks can offer insightful clues as to where we are in this season of life, and help us define our priorities.
Have you ever had someone ask you how you feel only to respond "fine"? Or have you had someone ask you what you want to do, and you find it hard to make a decision? In the process of self-discovery, sometimes it is easier to figure out who we are not, instead of who we are.
Our incomplete tasks can give us clues about what is not important to us at this season of our life. If a task stays on our list long enough, it simply isn't a priority for us right now. Perhaps it is a priority to someone else in our life, or it is something we "think we should do" based on our upbringing.
This week, practice the art of self-discovery by uncovering things that are not important to you at this season in your life. Analyze your to-dos and let the ones that are not a priority go.
