Ever Wonder Why Customers Choose Not to Buy?
by Dan Johnson
I subscribe to several MLM Trade Publications so I can
keep my finger on the pulse of the homebased business industry.
The Internet Market changes constantly and if you're not keeping up, you can easily get left behind.
But no matter how fast or how often things change, the one question that has stood the test of time is, "Why don't Prospects Buy?" Or you could ask ,"Why don't Prospects Join Your Business after listening to Your Great Presentation?" According to an article that I
reviewed, which was written by, Aaron and Sophia Rashkin, there's only two reasons that customers pass.
No 1. They have to much going on to buy or Sponsor in
No 2. They are looking for a Leader
that can guarantee their success. (Ouch, that one hurts, doesn't it?)
Take No 1 for example. People now days are involved, transporting kids to ball practice, dance classes, gym
classes and any where else that they need to go. Maybe with all their extra
curriculum activities they feel that they are maxed out, so to
speak. Also as adults, we start to dig back through our memory bank and remember
all the ideas that we had that didn't work. So self doubt starts to creep in.
Sure, starting a work at home business sounded like a great idea, but can I
really do something like that? Things like I don't know how to market products,
I hate selling, or I don't want to pester my friends or family, all start to
come into play when trying to make that decision.
Of course there are a ton of other reasons too that people toss at you when you
ask for a decision. Feed back from their friends and coworkers, like these
things never work or my brother in law tried one of those a long time ago and
he gave up. How about, those products are too expensive, $25 dollars for a
bottle of juice? Who would pay that? Not me! So you get the idea of what all
runs through a prospects mind before they ever think about signing that
application?
Let's look at No 2. And this one really hits home to most of us. Some prospects
will test you on the phone, or in person, to see if you're the Leader that they
are looking for. Leaders bark orders, like, " I want you to take a look at this
web page, or I want you to call this number and listen to this overview of what
I'm offering. Leaders never forget that the call to the Prospect is all about
the Leader interviewing the Prospect, not the other way around. Ever had a
prospect keep interrupting you during the interview to tell you how wonderful
their companies products and services are?
If you ever have used phrases with a prospect like," Can you do me a favor?" Or
if they ask how much are you making and you tell
them, all signs that your not a leader yet and your voice, your confidence level and your attitude will all say to the prospect
that your not the leader that you're looking for. Fortunately through proper
training courses, like Magnetic Sponsoring and
target=new>black belt recruiting, you can change all that and start talking
ans walking like someone who people want to follow.
