What a plethora of amazing features are available to members on the redesigned iLearning Global website. This look at will examine merely some of the features and how they can help you, By the way, this is a member's only site so you must log to have access to any of these features.
Fresh Content & Feature News
In this ever changing world, the Content and Featured News tab is intended to keep you up on things in the future as they are available. This tab alerts you as much as a month in advance to content being released on a weekly basis. You will continuously have a heads up.
Powerful Tutorials
Tutorials will be randomly placed under this tab on a frequent basis. The tab will incorporate tutorials on how to access various site features and how to improve your skills by using your computer.
Valuable Content Archives
You can open old posts on the Content Archives tab. This incorporates the last 50 posts that were made, as well as the various categories and sub-categories to make it easier for you to locate the information you need. Monthly search options are also available. The Recent Content sidebar gives you the newest five posts so that you can have access to the freshest content.
Helpful Support
The Support tab gives you a place to make any request for support. Should you have any questions or problems with the site, this is the tab where you can request assistance.
Contribute Your Insight
The Contribute tab gives members a way to become involved in the site and get help develop it. This allows you to become an integral part of the iLearning Global community.
Easy Search
Seaching capabilities can be found in the Search form at the top and in the side bar. It allows you to search by specific terms, and you find content related to the topic in which you are most interested. At the time you do a search, the newest six content videos posted will be shown. By selecting "previous" you will be able to see additional posted videos.
Home Page
A great starting place is the Home Page when you visit the website. It will incorporate new featured videos weekly. The Home Page also has daily featured content and videos in the various topic fields. Select the topic that you are interested in, and you will see the newest video as well as two others.
The Home Page allows you to see recent contributors and additional content when you search for a specific topic. The Content Categories drop down bar allows you to find the videos of that category easily and quickly.
The Category Navigation bar at the top of the Home Page allows you to find some of the most popularly accessed content on the site. When you scroll over a category, all of the subcategories will appear as a drop down menu. When you scroll over the subcategories you will get additional subcategories making it even easier and quicker to find precisely what you want. Again, this will show you the most recent videos that have been posted.
Also included in this navigation bar is the captions option for those who are hearing impaired or do not speak English as a first language. Choosing this feature will allow you to see all of the videos that have captions in that language. When the video starts, click on CC and choose the caption language you want. Captions are placed in sync with the speaker to add to ease of viewing.
Ranking Content
You will be able to rate videos with a thumbs up or thumbs down on the Content page as well as related posts and additional content by that author or speaker. What this does is allow you to create your own guided path to make the content and site even more efficient to use. You can even leave a comment to help expand the community and share your thoughts and conversations about the video.
