In doing some math, you can actually lose 24-36 pounds during that timeframe and without exposing your body to too much stress. But if you need to lose more in that span of time, there is a need to consult your doctor for advice to avoid putting your health at risk.
Just keep in mind to set goals that are attainable and you will manage to have a fast weight loss. Don't forget about your diet too. A pound of fat that you wish to lose contains around 3500 calories. So in order to shed off 3 pounds per week, you must also think of a way to cut off your weekly intake of calories up to 10,500.
